Jean-François Rainaud

Chief Executive Officer

After a Ph.D. in Geophysics in 1979, Jean-François Rainaud was working 19 years at Beicip Franlab, developing magnetotelluric tools and IT systems. He served as consultant in foreign operations for a decade, then developed software products at BEICIP including HERESIM 3D and RML.

He participated in the EPISEM project at IFP Institute and led the European EPISEM Action project. Until October 2018, he worked with IFP EN on geomodeling research, contributed to RESCUE and RESQML development, and taught at IFP School.

Since 2012, he founded Geosiris to provide RESQML validation and certification tools to the Energistics consortium.

Michel Perrin

Scientific Advisor

Michel Perrin is a Professor from Ecole des Mines de Paris, retired in 2009, with extensive geology experience. He dedicated the last twenty years of professional activity to the subject of geomodeling and collaborated extensively with BRGM, IFP and research groups.

His focus has been developing practical solutions for geological knowledge integration. He currently collaborates with Professor Mara Abel at UFRGS (Brazil) on ontological solutions for geological conceptual model representation.

Valentin Gauthier

IT Architect, Research Engineer

Valentin Gauthier holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Poitiers. His research focused on topological rule-based modeler generation using Jerboa and on creating domain-specific languages. He worked on geological reconstruction using RESQML standards.

At Geosiris, he develops RESQML WebStudio and cloud geomodeling solutions, collaborating with EGIS on geotechnical applications.

Marie-Laure Rainaud

Administration

Marie-Laure Rainaud manages administration, human resources services, accounting and external relationships of Geosiris.

She holds a BTS in secretariat and communicates fluently in French, English and Italian.
